I can create melody, I can create a beat, but I'm not the one who creates the emotions you feel.

Woot for all this publicity! I'm going to make a news post purdy soon all about the collabing goodness.

And while I'm hear, I'd like to exhaust my opinions on dance music. Prepare for lots of text :D

First off, I used to be a dance fanboy. When I first got here, two of my three favorite artists were ParagonX9 and dj-Nate. Personally, I think PX9 is a very talented individual no matter which gender they might be, but dj-Nate is one of those producers of generic dance that EVERYONE seems to want to follow. And it appeals to the masses. You've got to admit he's good at keeping the crowds listening. At least as far as I know.

There's actually been a scientific study that figured out that the chord progression you hear in your generic dance song is very familiar to people, so they like to hear it. Which ties into your classical rant there, because classical music is where that chord progression came from. Producers just got a lot of response from people when they used that chord progression / bass line, so they kept it.

Also, I looked at that dumbfoundingly dumb review you linked to, and you'll be happy to know that the kid who wrote that is 13. I've only met one kid that young on NG who wasn't that thick, and he's a genius at piano. I guess most kids that young are here for teh beatz and teh bassez.

Where was I? Yeah. So because that stuff was so popular yet simple, these younger kids who actually show some promise get sucked into trying to imitate these overdone songs. And, being inexperienced producers, they do an awful job most of the time. There are some that are good, but very rarely. I mean, there are people who I've followed from their pretty low-quality productions to the point where they're getting signed to labels.

Like xKore. Don't know if you've heard of him. Here's 46 seconds to give you an example of his pro-ness. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/281375

So yeah. Some people can be really good at dance music, but for the most part I agree that a load of folks on here are annoyingly lazy and unoriginal. I do listen to dance (I normally classify it as different styles of house / trance) so to hear you say EVERY dance song is like this doesn't sit entirely well with me, but I see what you mean.

Mmkay. I'm long-winded today. Props if you read that all :3

Also. I'm liking that new name. I'm thinking of a new moniker for myself, I just need the material for it. Which will be shortly coming.

I think this post was too long. Can't believe I could still fill it up with another 5,600 characters...

#1 Sherlock Holmes!
#2 Bella Swan!
#3 Rubeus Hagrid!
#4 Dumbledore's brothers goat!

... I'm in a mood today :P

I do listen to dance, rarely... I just find it annoying how people get sucked into dance so much that they lose track of everything else.

Xkore I've heard of, and they are good.

I was a heavy metal fan when I came here. Still am :D (And yes, heavy metal is extremely repetitive, with same progression, and sound. I know, but I'm a fan of the kicker and grunginess of it.)

Edit: Also the kid's 11... check his link on his page. We need less noobs.

jeezzz that guy made a lot of mistakes

Haha, is there something wrong with mistakes in improv?
