Rar.

Hmmm... you know my thoughts on industrial...

Anyways, with that aside... I don't know. It has SOME buildup... but its rather slow. t 1 min or so, after the guy screams, or whatever. It seems like it could go into a hardcore hardstyle song...

Near the end it eventually gets better progression, and I like it then. So.

Nice job with this. From what I heard of it before...

WTF?

WTF?

This is incredible.

I love it good sir, and I will review all of your other songs when I get a computer to do so on.

The vocals on this were fantastic. What were they from?

I have to agree with a couple other people though... the bass could use some amp... and I think you could use some better snares... but for what you sused... this is fantastic.

Awesome man.

Awesome.

PizzaBox responds:

Vocals are from Max Payne 2.

You know. The game you said had horrible voice acting in. You hated his voice. Remember? Glad to know you thought it was fantastic this time.

;]

Errr...

Nice, but those claps.

No. I didn't feel like they belonged at all.

The guitar was extremely beautiful in this. The whole thing reminded me of a LoZ water world.

Everything's laid back, with a waterfall in the background. The local natives frolic in the meadows, and the children play in the near lake.

Fantastic song :D

Lamplighter responds:

What? I like the claps! The first time I use them in a song (I think this is the first) and they aren't good enough?! *sigh* Glad you like the guitar though... I think what I did (too lazy to check the project file) is take a distorted, flanged guitar preset, crumpled up all the effects, and put my own on. Or maybe I just used an acoustic preset and added my special ingredient... reverb!

I like your visual... very peaceful. :) Glad you liked it, I only wish it was original :P

Keep it the way it is.

No strings attached. Hah.

Anyways, Mr Egbert, you have a nice melody here...

I specifically like the lower notes. They flow together extremely well, the higher notes seem to compliment the lower ones perfectly.

Great job with this sir Johhanson. Now go finish it, and give the song to them already. You are too indecisive when it comes to that.

Go.

Lamplighter responds:

HAHAHA! No strings attached... you sir are a funny one :)

Thanks, glad you like it! I should probably EQ the bass to be a bit louder, because... yeah. It'll sound better. :)

....mm. Yeah, I am too indecisive. It's one of those states of mind where I don't think it's good enough to give her, even though it's probably fine... bleah. I'm going to show her this, though. That's an Egbert Johannson guarantee.

Thanks for the vierew!

Hmmm...

Quite quite repetitive I believe, but that's just me. Everyone makes their own things which are repetitive and all that wise crap that should be inserted here. (____)

Anywho. I like the overall melody, and I can't quite pinpoint what drums you used. If this is an FL project, that's why, but it could also be that there are over like 200 drum patches for Reason. Yeah, so which one is it?

The overall synth line is repetitive, yet the reverb on it makes it quite better.

Lol, you and reverb.

Anywho. I forgot to add this in my previous review, but I'm going to send you a pm. So look at that.

Ahhh... yes. Anyways... nice song good sir. The fade out ending totally fit it.

9/10

Lamplighter responds:

Response to that goes here. (_____)

I made this in Reason, but I used two edited loops from a Drum'n'Bass refill. So... that's why you didn't recognize it. I generally like external sounds better, but w/e

Yes, I know, reverb is always my solution to making everything better.

Reverb is my friend!

I got the pm, and I'll reply once I finish responding to these...

Thanks for the review, you're a dear :P

Gonna eat you.

OMnomnom. You were tasty.

You want what? You want a serious review?

Well then, here you go:

This sounds pretty good, the drums are really the good part in this. Though the melody could be better, it does a nice job complementing the drums.

Overall 8/10.

~ Lublub with a long overdue review.

Lamplighter responds:

Un-serious reviews are fine, especially when you rate me a point higher than you said you would :) I'm pretty proud of the drums, and the fact that I made all these synths, but composition wasn't very strong when I wrote this. Glad you like the drums, though!

THANKEE FUR TEH REVYOO.

The opening is good..

Not too sure about the rest though. Sounds alright I guess.

Good job!

8/10

THAKSN!!!!!!!!

So uh...

Could you Pm me? I just don't get this? What's up with the "\m/"...

HAHAHA what a fucktard. Whoa, 'kay that was a little brutal. Metal brings out the brutality in everyone though.

Beast song man! Awesome riffs, Great drums, nothing more you could ask for!

Nice...

Some recomendations I have:

You are using a lot of preset instruments, I can't name them off the top of my head, but I can hear them. Try to make your own unique ones. Even if it's just a little tweak, those can make a large difference.

1:30, or around that area, where the bass and synths and drums and EVERYTHING were going at once... That seemed a little too crowded.

If I think I heard what the mircosoft sam said correctly. Ya could definitely take that out...

Now, for some positive feedback:

The song was really well put together, aside from a couple spots sounding a little crowded, this had a good vibe to it.

It had an awesome opening, I wouldn't change anything with it. (Other then unique synths maybe?)

The beat in this is totally what made the song. It was so in your face, random, fast-paced, groovy. All things I like in a drum beat.

You had a good use of effects, They almost perfected your transitions.

Overall a 9/10 and a 5/5 from me. (Downloaded too)

Nice job with this! I'd like to hear more like this, recommend a few songs that you might have made in the past that sound something like this?

dj-Jo responds:

ok, uhhh Thanks very much for the review!
And yeah, I did over some of the preset fills
And the words in the song said, JUMP!
Then it turned Jumpstyle
If you heard the bassdrum, it had that kind of style to it.
Now, it looks like you like doom, so, you know the game left 4 dead?
Well, I made a song using the horde sounds. Its called Raving Zombies
I think you'll like it.
Keep playing doom
Because I somtimes do!

This song...

This song inspired me. Greatly...

I'm now going to go hook up my surround sound system that I have been meaning to hook up for the past year.

Subwoofer blasting out these hardcore beats. That's my goal, and I will complete that which I have set to do.

Neighbors. Be ready to be pissed off at the extreme volume!

I can create melody, I can create a beat, but I'm not the one who creates the emotions you feel.
