Rusty.

Though near the end, I started hearing a better transition.

You're lacking some... everything... in the last little bit? Haha.

The 39 second transition is my absolute favorite part of this song. It just flips crazy on you in a snap. That's very enjoyable :D

Overall, It's awkward, but in a pizzabox sense. a rusty pizzabox.

But the thing is, it totally gets better as it progresses, and shows you coming back into real pizzaboxness. Not there yet, but ever close.

Opening half = 8
Closing half = 9

Keep rocking that legal reason :D

PizzaBox responds:

Thanks :D

Yeah, it's really really rusty.

It's good to be making music again though!!!

This is weird...

I love it.

Awkward a lil. Yet good.

Why... oh wait. But no... External HDD... yes? Why no steinway?

PizzaBox responds:

Yamaha, dude.

Specifically, Cold Clocks. I never use the dry pianos that come in that refill. They're so boring and lifeless. I stick to Cold Clocks, The Legend, and Massive. Sometimes I use some of the other ones if it better suits the song, though. Piano In The Back Lounge is brilliant for certain themes.

Bahahaha.

I love the little squeal. It makes me think of a kid saying "WHAT?!" really fast.

As for the rest... It's okay, but I believe it's lacking... I felt like it could use some super grungy bass to go with it.

Maybe that's just me.

Overall though, I thought it was an interesting experiment.

ReFreezed responds:

lol WHAT?! :D

Oh all the things I could add but didn't... Though I do agree with you.

Glad you liked it. Tank you too for reviewing!

Interesting..

This has an odd vibe to it.

I like it though.

I really dislike the preset cymbal/hi-hat though.

The rest however. Pleases me very much.

Nice work.

DJPsi responds:

I wanted to try something different, like always :), I should've used something else than generic cymbols, the song never felt right and I think that was the case hahaha.
Thanks for responding, haven't heard from you in a long time Lublub!

I found this off your Ref Sig :3

So it's kinda weird to 10 star partially my work. So I'm not.

I'm 10 starring your epic melody.

I loved working with ya man, and I'd be overly thrilled to do so again anytime. (I'd take whatever you were stuck on talking to AT about)

So yeah, what else can I say about it? Other then we rock.

Lamplighter responds:

My melody was epic? Aww <3

It was great working with you as well, and in fact I'm going to send you a PM on ReF linking to the project file. This one's got tubular bells in the intro :3 And it's in deep need of Lubbification!

Yes, we do rock :DDDDDDD

Well.

This has extreme potential.

As far as the melody goes, your teacher was very correct, this is an excellent one. Extremely good one.

As far as your instruments go... Eeesh. They really slaughter the beauty of it. In my opinion.

I think you could have an excellent piece here, if you had some better instruments.

JohnSercu responds:

I've made some changes so it should sound some better now.

With friendly regards,

John

Disturbing.

Disturbing mind. Brilliant work. I believe that's really ALL that needs to be said about this piece, but I know you'd appreciate more of a review. So.

That use of scream was quite superb, especially with the fade in. Extreme distortion FTW!

Vocals. Are. Totally weird. Yet I suppose they fit.

The rest of the song. Is weird, but I like it. So good sir. Yes. Is what I have to say.

Yes.

PizzaBox responds:

Thank you so much, Lublub :)

I tried to build a song around those vocals so many times and I just couldn't come up with anything. Next thing you know I'm making this song I catch myself thinking "this song needs something..." I slap on the vocals and they fit perfectly! It was a pleasant accidental surprise.

After much internal debate, I decided to take "Disturbing mind," as a compliment too. So thank you!

Glad to see my weird music is appreciated :)

Subtract that beat...

And you've got some really good ambiance.

But this song has the beat. So. That's not what I'm going to review.

I like the strings, I assume they are the singlestring miroslavs? Anyways. They work well. And the bass does especially too.

The beat is very settle. Yet I think you need some more reverb on the kick. It's good, but I think it could be better. That could just be me though. The clap sounds fine though. The lack of a hi - hat was odd though.

Before I fell asleep last night, I listened to this for a couple loops through and it works well as a loop too.

I believe that if the beat were dropped some, this could be a good ambient background for say a puzzle game. Etc.

Overall man. A real good melody.

Let the soul flow.

AlmostTechnicolor responds:

Like I said two reviews below, I was going for minimalism with the drums. This is the only song I've made that I didn't add any additional processing to the drums. (Ok, I eq'd the bass drum, but that's it!) So, I could have added reverb and delay like I usually do, but I decided against it.

Interesting idea for the puzzle game ambiance. Hope a flash-game dev reads this ;)

Hrmmm...

I'm not quite sure. About the kick. I don't know if I like it so much. Yet, that snare is quite snazzy, and I like it.

I think you could use a lil more reverb on the trumpet. If... that's a trumpet?

As far as the melody goes though. It's excellent. 100% portrays what I think you're going for. Anticipation, for anything. Just something to change. To be new, to change.

The piano is excellent, and the synths flow right along with it. Exit is mellow and calm.

Overall, I like it a lot.

Especially the intro.

Nice work :3

Oh yes, welcome back! :D

Oh yes!

YES YES MAOR MOAR!

Jizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzed.

poopr1221 responds:

Haha. I knew this would bring flames. Not many people on here like speedcore music. Oh well. I'm still satisfied with this.

I can create melody, I can create a beat, but I'm not the one who creates the emotions you feel.
