HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Well, I loved your transitions, a lot of them were creative and unique.

The outro where the frequency drops is pretty sweet.

As always the drums are fine work.

Much else more then that, I don't have to say. It's got enough things that distract from the rather generic bassline, that make it all worth while. Don't understand the whole "Termite" concept. Although, I guess I could see a termite walking back and forth to the bassline, however ridiculous that might be.

So you know what I have to say?

Cheers!

ABSOLUTE lubness.

ReFreezed responds:

Yo Yo YO.

Generic! That's what I think of this track. If I may say it myself though, I do find the track very catchy. But generic-sounding. The title is just completely random. lol

Drums!

I had a hard time choosing whether to drop out the high or low frequencies in the end. So I kinda chose both. Haha. It feels like I'm using the same kind of ending in every new song... o_O

Well thankness to youness, you Lubness! Cheersnesses! :D

Whoaaaaaa

Bravo sir, Bravo!

This isn't quite dubstep, sure it has the wobbly effect, but it most certainly lacks the whole slow paced part. However, I like it, a lot.

The distortions added were excellent choices. Yet, that's not what really stood out to me, your use of drum programming did.

They never stayed the same, throughout most of it, it reminded me of some hardcore drill'nbass. Over all, tasty goodness :D

I really liked this man. Keep it up!

WeDoExist responds:

Thank you.
I'm glad you like it.

I'm working on alot of music of the like.
Each song get's better and better.

Expect more.

I approve.

This is trippy, however I approve.

If you're going for the "odd" effect. You've got it.

Feels like last Friday, and last Friday was a good day ;)

SwanBrown responds:

Thanks! for what it is, I think it turned out really well (especially since I can't sing) ;)

Mmmhmmmm.

This... Is great.

I wouldn't put it past me to have an autobiography out soon =P However, I'd definitely give you a free copy. You get free stuff all the time =P

Thanks for this awesome piece man, I can think of only one way to say thanks, and it's something I've been meaning to do for a long time. Dedicate a song to the 3, Lamp, Ref, Fire. You all 3 need a song. I just haven't written one.

I like your use of bells in this, you always seem to use some, but in this, they work really well, they stick in the background somewhat. I really really really like the strings, I like how they aren't constant. That's something I've always wanted to do, but I always make mine constant, which some what makes me disappointed. However, you don't have that issue, you just have the issue of rocking too much. Not like in a rocker chair... well, course, I've never seen you in a rocking chair... so I can't... what the heck. Off topic. Needless to say. This is full of win.

Once again, I'm having to think we are rivals when it comes to skill in classical. You say I'm better, however I think you're better. Maybe we're the best? We're tied for the best? I think we should have that =P We can both be happy then. Haha.

Thanks for the awesome song man!

You're most certainly welcome! I guess writing songs is the only way for musicians to thank each other... and that's fine by me :)

Bells... I do always use those, don't I? I love bells, though. They're like reverb. And when I have bells and reverb together, it makes my heart go a-flutter. About the strings being broken... that's something I never even thought about until I made this song. I wanted to seem less chunky, if that makes sense. Having the strings not be constantly playing sorta adds some flow to the music that I like, and I feel silly for not thinking of it before.

That sentence about never seeing my in a rocking chair was the first part of this review that I read... haha. I had to get some context. I do love a good rocking chair.

Tied for the best? I'll settle for that. Your latest piece was fantastic, but this was one of my best as well so I think it'll be just nifty to call us even :)

Again, you're as welcome as a doormat (as long as it has 'Welcome!' written on it)

Interesting Test.

The hi-hat is so un-noticeable, unless you're looking for it. So definitely keep it. As for the other drums, I like them, they sound pretty sweet.

The overall song reminded me something of a rollercoaster tycoon soundtrack. Of course there wasn't any drums like these in that game, however there was certainly that fantasy feeling.

The little tune is an interesting test, I think the only thing that didn't feel as though it fit, was the bass that came in with the drums. It felt a little off-note at sometimes. Maybe that's just me though.

Anyways, I like this sir. It's very peaceful, yet still carries a nice beat. Cool stuff yo.

Lamplighter responds:

The bass... it sounded better on headphones, I think. I mixed this on little earbuds, so you could hear the notes in the bass differently. It's definitely something that could be fixed, but I'm not going to bother with it. Thanks for pointing that out, though.

I think "groovy ambient" is the sort of style I'm into right now. Merci pour cette critique!

Harm.... I mean... hrmmm...

You don't sound to rusty in the least.

Now that lower background synth does. Tis for sure. I don't know how I feel about it, but I think it suites the song well enough.

I really like the synth choice you used for this. It definitely flows well together. Sounds almost like a half-life sound track in my opinion.

The drums were freaking awesome, I just wish they stood out a little more, to get a bit more presence from them. Course, I'm a drum freak... so. Haha. I think they worked awesomely. I especially loved all the hi-hat work you did. The dynamic changes and such sound great.

So, no, failure is not showing. New style? Maybe...

Lamplighter responds:

I think my mixing really messed up one of the synths, maybe that's the one you're talking about? Or perhaps its the bass you mean? Either way, I'm glad you like the synth choice.

Half-Life? Ah, I like that soundtrack. That's a compliment indeed :)

I think the drums were actually my favorite part, especially when they come in after the piano. I spent more time on those then anything else, and I'm glad it showed :D I'll work on giving the drums more presence, you're not the only one who likes them prominent-like.

This is a style I'll be experimenting in more, I think I'm teaching myself a lot. And thanks for the review, I've gotten a big morale boost from it :)

Wow.

I got done listening to this, and I was highly depressed. Thanks... Haha.

The super quiet snare-roll thing(?) sounded awesome. Definitely belongs there, and makes an interesting vibe to it.

This is something I could totally picture in Fallout 3, if you've played it, you'll know what I mean. If not... it's a game that takes place in a post WWIII world (World War 3). Nuclear warfare destroyed pretty much the whole world, and it's a desolate place. So yeah, a "Old deserted town" sounds about right. Haha.

Nice stuff here dawg.

Lamplighter responds:

Sorry, I need to write some happier music :)

It was actually a chunky hi-hat roll, but whatever. I really liked the effect too :) I wasn't sure about the volume of it, so I left it quieter so that the observant people would find it.

Hm. I've never played Fallout 3, but yeah, that definitely fits my vision from this song. Haha... one of these days I need to find a game designer and apply for a job. That'd be sweet :3

Thank ya very much!

I can create melody, I can create a beat, but I'm not the one who creates the emotions you feel.
