Music box yes.

Haha. I totally hear a music box sounding... but I also hear a distant evil place.

Somewhat like a place, that used to be enjoyable, and laughter used to flood the area, but now it's worn out, destroyed, and only haunting memories of a tragic event are left.

Nice job here!

Daniel-M responds:

you fucking nailed what i was going for, great review!

I'm not a fucker :'C

But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy... Hell yeah! \m/

This was some heavy ass shit. Digging them grungy riffs. The drums are pretty dang flawless, if I do say so myself. and I do. So that means they are.

It looped almost perfectly for me...

Overall. Pretty sweet my good sir.

Rock on.

haha, thanks for the review!! \m/

Wow.

Now that I know the story behind this...

This screams. Screams it. Loudly.

Excellent percussion, great use of textures and synths.

Nothing I can critique good sir.

- Always here, Lubz.

PizzaBox responds:

Thanks, Caleb.

I do everything I can to make my music reflect the EXACT emotion I feel down to a T, so I'm glad you think it's accurate.

Hmmm...

This really felt more like a classical mix then a techno mix... I was expecting it to break out in some hardcore sidechaining stuff, but it didn't. I think it's extremely melodic though.

Very well made!

Kreepman responds:

Thanks!

In the actual song (I'm still working on it - thats why it isn't uploaded yet) the part after that breaks out into some hardcore sidechaining stuff xD

This is just the intro :3

Lol.

I like it. A lot.

I don't have much to say against it because I'm not a big fan of hip hop, thus I don't have much say against or for it, but if it means anything, this was one that I really liked actually.

Nice job. Good instrument choices!

Assios responds:

Thaanks! :D

:D :D

Okay.

It's got it's moments, but I think you could do far better and really make it a piece of incredible work...

There needs to be bass through most of the song. It wasn't there, and that bothered me.

The transitions were very well done, but you need to work on some of your mastering. The whole song was staticy at times.

The drums were excellent... but I've come to expect that from you.

The song seems to lack at times, and I feel where you have 1 instrument running you should have 2 atleast.

Anyways, enough ranting. This was very good. The melody was absolutely awesome, and this could be so epic!

=Lublub=

Assios responds:

Thanks for the great review ^^

Yeah, I know that it lacks mastering and such, I did this on a crappy computer, and that's the cause of the distortions. I think I'm gonna remake this and make a better version without distortions btw.

Thanks again

HRMMM!!!!

I really like your piano melodies. They always seem to flow very well... Especially this one. I liked it mucho much.

The percussion was very... right. It didn't seem too repetitive cause it was in the background mostly, and so it seemed just to flow well enough.

I'm not sure what the synth sound was that came in eventually, but it was very subtle and suiting.

Like mr Pizza said. very ambient, yet very far from it.

I like it good sir. Like it lots :D

Lamplighter responds:

Piano is my forte! (pun intended... you know... pianoforte?) Glad you liked it, it's always nice to hear that about a song after all the crap I make and never show anyone :D

Thoughts about the percussion, I agree. Unless it's a main focus, I'm trying to keep it sort of simple enough to sit there but complex enough not to be a nuisance. Or something like that.

The synth was a quick and very simple Thor thing I whipped up in ten minutes of experimenting, I think it sounds pretty nice :D

Glad you like it sir Caleb!

Interesting?... Kinda...

It's... bouncy...

Sounds very much like a half-life sound track song. Especially the percussion.

The tune was... There. It wasn't much, but it was what it was. Hah.

The percussion got a little... repetitive after a while. Not enough of a change.

The song took a long long while to go much of anywhere, and after it did, it never really had a climax in my opinion.

Overall I really liked it, but I think it could be messed with a bit to make it all the better.

- Your banned Friend.

ReFreezed responds:

Well, it is game music after all - it's supposed to be a little repetitive and not have a real climax. Hah.

Half-Life? I didn't see that coming.

It can always be better. ;P

B& lol. You're not banned anymore. :) Anyway, thanks a ton the the review!

This sounds rather amazing...

Wow, seriously. Sounds awesome my good man.

With earbuds it's alot easier to hear...

The transitions were pretty good. The percussion, as always good. The woo woo, in this was very trancing. I liked it...

This is by far best yet.

Awesome job.

ReFreezed responds:

Thanks yo!

Headphones certainly makes everything easier to hear, though I'm mostly trying to optimize the sound for normal speakers.

Woo woo!

And there's more to come. Next up: saw.

Thanks again!

- Your banning Friend

Wooo!

Hrmm.

At 30 seconds when the kick comes in, I think its okay, but I feel as thought the kick should have more presence...

The drums are quite unique. I really think they are quite good.

The melody is similar to most trance songs, but I think your drum work was pretty effective.

So I guess what I'm saying here. Is Drums = Yes. Melody = Okay.

Good work here good sir.

Assios responds:

Heh, yeah, I worked a lot on the drums this time ;) Thanks!

I can create melody, I can create a beat, but I'm not the one who creates the emotions you feel.
